About Me

I started in fine art and initially studied product design/design research with a detour into fashion/apparel and VR avatar development before launching a freelance animation career during the pandemic. I spent about 2 years freelancing across commercial, live events, and big tech before going staff at BUCK, where I stayed for 2 years. I went freelance again in 2023 and have continued working primarily in design for the commercial and live events industries, with some small roles in Web3 as well.

I bring a unique perspective to animation that is a synthesis of my diverse background of interests and experiences. Despite having an unusual path, I haven’t found any step of that journey to have been a waste and it has all made me the artist I am today. I am a true generalist who enjoys and appreciates all aspects of the process, from pitching/deck building, art direction, storyboarding, design/animation, to final production, and have worked on both direct-to-client and studio projects.

I have the most experience with design, lighting (3D), and animation and I am comfortable in Houdini, Cinema4D, After Effects, and Photoshop with with capabilities in all the popular render engines and their integration with Deadline.  I’m currently expanding my 2D offerings (illustration, storyboarding, 2D animation in After Effects) am really enjoying it.

I take pride in being someone who puts my effort into elevating others whose creative vision I respect, as well as someone who brings harmony and community to the teams I’m a part of. I think that there are so many ways to add value to a team or project, and having a personal connection with the people you work with gives you the safety to express honest opinions, and though that create the most evocative work in the most streamlined manner. I enjoy supporting emerging talent in the industry and hope to be someone who nurtures and encourages the people around me to be the best they can be and appreciate their unique contributions.

In my spare time I love driving my 1986 Toyota Supra on scenic roads in Los Angeles, doing track days, DJing, watching Formula 1, spending time with friends, sewing, and gardening.
